Science can be fun. Children can love science if their teacher gives them a chance. I want to be the kind of teacher that allows students to explore, create, and design in order to fall in love with science.
I want my students to feel like they are in a safe place to try and fail and try again. That is how they will learn to run with their ideas and try new things. This will allow them to ask the questions that need to be asked to get the inquiry process started.
Allowing students to ask their own questions and search to find their answers will keep them engaged. I enjoy this hands on approach because letting the kids feel tangible items and work through their questions will help them engage their brains and remember what they are learning way further into the future.
I’m so excited to teach Science!
